Call for projects 2026: what Fondation Nexans bring to its partners
Feb 23, 2026
With the Nexans Foundation's call for projects continuing until March 2, we wanted to ask our partners why they applied. What happens after a call for projects? How does the Nexans Foundation work with the winning associations? Andres Bustamente, director of the Ecoswell association in Peru, and Mathias Vincent, program director at IECD, answered our questions in a video.
Founded and based in Peru, the Ecoswell association's mission is to help vulnerable communities develop sustainably by contributing to the UN's sustainable development goals.
The Fondation Nexans and Ecoswell have been working together since 2020 and have already carried out numerous joint projects, such as the electrification of medical centers in Tallara and Suyo. This fruitful partnership enables us to significantly improve the living conditions of local residents.
It is a win-win partnership, as Andres Bustamante explains:
"The Nexans Foundation has helped us a lot with this project, both in terms of funding and the provision of high-quality materials for the system and technical support. Thanks to their support, other partners, such as Huemura and Legrand, have also joined us to continue supporting this project here at the health center."
The European Institute for Cooperation and Development (IECD) is an international solidarity organization. Founded over 35 years ago, the IECD supports young people in 18 countries by providing them with training, helping them enter the job market, and contributing to the economic and social development of their countries.
A long-standing partner of the Fondation Nexans, we have been working with the IECD since 2014. We carry out projects in three countries—Côte d'Ivoire, Lebanon, and Morocco—sometimes jointly. The IECD embodies one of the Foundation's core values: helping to train energy experts who will ultimately contribute to the sustainable electrification of their countries.
Our ties with the IECD grow stronger with each project we carry out together. And if you still need convincing, just listen to Mathias
“With the Fondation Nexans, you will find a committed partner who will support you throughout your project and who will share your concern for its sustainability and the impact of the actions taken.”
The Fondation Nexans' 2026 call for projects is open until March 2. You can apply and find all the relevant information at this link.
