The Nexans Foundation presents a check to the NGO Litro De Luz
Nov 17, 2022In September, The Nexans Foundation welcomed the organization Litro de Luz in Nexans Brazil's Rio de Janeiro factory to deliver a check. The organization was the winner of the 10th call for projects to support solidarity initiatives that fight energy insecurity and poverty around the world.
We were able to learn more about Litro de Luz' work, through the Lighting up Rio de Janeiro project, which plans to use solar lighting solutions to alleviate energy poverty for low-income families in rural communities in Rio de Janeiro, using materials such as plastic bottles and PVC pipes, as well as a solar panel, battery, LED lights, and charge controller.
